Suki Hill is a diversely successful and popular professional
photographer who has lived in the town of Mill Valley, California
for forty years. Hill has photographed subjects ranging from the
streets of Paris to portraits of rock stars, authors, painters and
the rich and famous, but her favorite subjects will always be the
people of her community- their celebrations, events, gatherings
–in short, their lives.
Hill’s black and white photography captures and reveals
individuality and relationships, and communicates a known
longing for the familiar. Her work has been exhibited in many
galleries, both in Marin County and San Francisco, and early
work in advertising has won numerous awards. She now
“specializes” in people photographs, and works in film and
digital format. Hill graduated from Sarah Lawrence College and
has done graduate work in Creative Arts at San Francisco
State University and Philosophy at Universtiy of California
Berkeley.
Suki has photographed for families, hospitals, individual
business owners, publishing companies, restaurants, BART,
and has made herself available to many service organizations
and fundraising events.
